Skincare for Men

Yes, I was sent these products, but I actually requested them (cheeky I know) and if I wasn’t lucky enough to be sent them I would have bought them myself for Jim to review as I really wanted to do this video. All Jim’s opinions are his own, I let him say whatever he wanted to about the products as the whole point is that it is his personal, honest review. You get the idea. Hope you enjoyed the video! uk.lizearle.com www.kyokuformen.com www.harrods.com

Quick & easy skin care for men (and women)

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Most skin care routine videos will tell you to do a 3-step (Cleanse, Tone, Moisturizer) routine and then exfoliate occasionally once or twice a week. They also pretty much all use the same products and say the same things which make me think these people don’t know what they are talking about and just repeat what they are told. It’s really unnecessary to spend lots of money on lots of products. I developed terrible acne at about 13 and spent until I was 20 fighting it, using every product under the sun, professional treatments like microdermabrasion and peels, doctor medication all the way up to the strongest drugs (like Accutane which causes brittle bone disease, liver problems etc.), natural miracle remedies (which are complete bullshit), home remedies, everything. This is also why I know a lot about makeup because I wanted to try and make my skin look like everyone else’s. What I’ve found is companies just want to make money out of you pretty much. You don’t need a 4step routine, you need a 2step with the right products, you need consistency with it, a healthy diet (look into the macrobiotic diet), light exercise and time outside in fresh air and sunshine. Your skin will look amazing and you will feel amazing. Simple! Wish someone had told me this years ago and saved me thousands of £’s and years of my life.

Skin Care for Men: Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Exfoliating Liquid

Friday, August 6th, 2010

Skin Care for Men: This is my review of Paula’s Choice 2% BHA. It is designed to clear skin by dislodging stubborn blackheads and preventing blemishes. BHA is an inner pore exfoliant that works under the surface of the skin as well as above, it has well-documented anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which make it a very popular ingredient in many skin care products. I have found that this product is very effective against blemishes and absolutely helps clear skin and keep it clear! It is also great to use after shaving because it eliminates ingrown hairs and razor bumps. It is available online at the Paula’s Choice Website, www.paulaschoice.com . Feel free to comment with any questions and I’ll be happy to respond! Thanks Guys!

Skin Care For Men – Never Do This If You Want to Look Young

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

thesecretsofbeautifulskin.com I saw an advertisement for “award winning” skin care for men. Out of curiosity, I took a look at the products the company sells and tried to figure out why they had won awards. Of course, I haven’t used them personally and I wouldn’t because they contain too many irritants and they recommend exfoliation. For women or men skin care should not include exfoliation. Skin care for men and women should include daily cleansing and every few weeks, a deep cleansing mask is a good choice. But, exfoliation causes redness and irritation. It will eventually do more harm than good. There are lots of good cleansers on the market. Some of the best ones contain colloidal oatmeal. It’s very mild, so it can be used on the most sensitive areas, but it’s also very effective. Here’s another reason that I didn’t like the “award winning” products. They didn’t have any ingredients to address the biggest men skin care issues. Most guys have excessive redness and some inflammation on their faces. Its may be caused by shaving every day or being out in the sun and wind. Regardless of the cause, it’s simple to correct. Look for Functional Keratin skin care for men. It’s been shown to stop inflammation before it starts. It also moisturizes and reduces the signs of aging. For men skin care most include sun protection. You should always wear a hat and sunglasses large enough to protect the skin under and at the corners of the eyes. Sunglasses give some of the best UV
